Over the past couple of days, rumors have been going around about Apple creating a app that is to be released in the next iPhone OS update. Full details aren’t completely know, but it is very likely that something like this will come about.

In the new iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G, it is said that there is a FM Radio built-in to the logic board. The headset is to be used as the antenna.

This app will most likely be bundled into the iPod application, and will be allowed to run in the background. Song tagging is also possible.
