Geohot has released version RC2 of his blackra1n jailbreak, one day ahead of its original anticipated release. Here are the changes in this new version:
** Update — RC2 is out **
Fixed 3G issues
Tethered jailbreak for 3.1 OOTB ipt 8GB and new 3GSes
Fixed Icy issues
So, if you have a iPhone 3G and were having issues with the original blackra1n jailbreak, this should fix any issues you were having. But, if it has successfully worked, you don’t need to run blackra1n RC2. Actually, if the original blackra1n has worked for you, there is no need to run blackra1n RC2. This also lets you have a tethering jailbreak for the new iPod Touch as well as the new 3GS, which has a new bootrom which was supposed to block jailbreaking.
The overall jailbreak process is exactly the same as with the original version. Go here for instruction and a video: VIEW!
