iPhone OS 3.1.3 has been released on February 2nd, and with it, comes a new baseband: 05.12.01. While there is absolutely no reason to update to 3.1.2, some people have either updated by accident, or by some other means. This is causing a lot of people for people who rely on an unlock to use their iPhone. Word has been going around lately that there is a confirmed unlock for the latest firmware and the latest baseband.
While there are ways to downgrade the 05.12.01 baseband to the safest 04.26.08 baseband, many people tend to stay away from that method for various reason. People have been saying that the Dev Team are waiting to release the unlock after the next-generation iPhone is released so that Apple doesn’t attempt to patch the exploit for the 05.12.01 unlock.
So stay tuned. When the unlock is released, we’ll immediately post it here
