A lot of people were wondering how I went about changing the wallpaper on my iPhone/iPod Simulator. Well, it’s quite easy. You just need to have a wallpaper handy (1024×1024 for iPad, 320×480 for iPhone). You can find a bunch of beautiful wallpapers over at InterfaceLift.
Next, make sure Finder is active, and go to Go>Go to Folder, and type in: ~/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator.
For the iPad, go into the 3.2 folder. Paste your two image (or just one) into Library, and Library.previousinstall.
For the iPhone, go into 3.1.2 (as well as any other firmwares you plan on using the simulator with). Paste your LockBackground.jpg into Library, and Library.previousinstall.
Restart the simulator, and you should be good to go.
*Note: For the iPhone, the extension may need to be .png instead of .jpg, so just change that around.
