Today, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 for the iPhone and iPod Touch was released. It’s a near perfect port of the original game that was released back in 2000 (that’s 10 years ago). There’s only one real (and obvious) problem with the iPhone version:  Not the original soundtrack. We sought out to fix this by implementing the original soundtrack. Before you continue reading, you must be jailbroken. If you aren’t, then you might as well go somewhere else. Why do you need to be jailbroken? You need to be able to access the already installed game directly on your device, or you need to be able to install modified IPA files (AppSync/installd patch).

So the below download includes all 15 songs from the soundtrack, but only the first 9 will be able to be played in the game (Song00.mp3 – Song08.mp3 will work, Song09.mp3-Song14.mp3 do not – it’s just the way the game was programmed – this isn’t something that can be changed without having the source files).

The music from the intro video has also been swapped out with real Rage Against the Machine song (was edited and re-rendered).

Just transfer all the files from the ZIP archive to the location of the game on your device (/var/mobile/Applications/{weird_string}/THPS2.app/).

So enjoy. If you like these songs, buy them.
