Slim and sleek is what the Beetle case by AGF is all about. Available for $34.99 (a bit high to be honest) and in 6 different color combinations, this 2-piece combination of plastic and TPU case will surely please anyone who wants to have a good looking case to protect their phone without compromising the dimensions of the original phone.
But, onto the case. It’s quite awesome. It’s a 2-piece case, so there’s a top portion that’s able to come right off so that you can install and remove your phone. Inside of the case is a TPU liner that adds a little bit of shock protection as well as a pretty cool and colorful design. There’s even some padding where the camera and flash would sit. The 2-pieces snap right together and are held together tightly. Taking the case off may be a bit of a chore. For me, I had to take my fingernail, slide it between the 2-pieces, and pry them apart.
For protection and cutouts, the case has a cutout for the power button, 3.5mm headset jack + noise cancellation microphone, silent switch + volume buttons, and the microphone/30-pin dock connector/speaker. The back of the case has individual cutouts for the camera and flash, which is a really nice touch.
Since this is a plastic case, overall protection isn’t all too high. The case might actually come apart if it’s dropped from a pretty high height, so, like you already know, you should still be very cautious of your costly investment.
This case adds very little thickness to your phone. It’s almost like you’re holding the phone itself because of the overall size of the case. It really is nice to use a case this thin.
Overall, this is a very great case with a number of design features that I think a lot of people will enjoy. While the price is high, it may just about right for some, and if you’re in that group, then you’ve made a well worthwhile purchase.
