The most anticipated iPhone 4S and iPad 2 jailbreak is finally here! Props to Pod2g and the dream team crew which p0sixninja, Musclenerd, planetbeing, and Saurik!

The iPhone 4S was released in October therefore the jailbreak took 3 months for the dream team to fully untether jailbreak the A5 devices.  That’s a lot of hard work right there.

This iOS 5.0.1 untether jailbreak is compatible with the following devices:

• iPad 2 running iOS 5.0.1
• iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1

Three jailbreak programs will be released that will be capable of jailbreak these devices which include:

• Absinthe – A traditional graphical user interface jailbreak tool.
• Dev Team CLI – A command line inteface that’s great for troubleshooting.
• RedSn0w – The Dev Team’s traditional graphical user inteferface used for jailbreaking. This will be released sometime later after the CLI.

Absinthe is the only program available for download and only for the Mac.  A windows version should be available soon whilst the Dev Team CLI and RedSn0w to be updated soon.
