Remember that scene in DareDevil where he hits a metal wall and starts to see his surroundings based on the sounds that echo off everything? Well that may actually become a reality for the visually impaired relatively soon thanks to a new piece of wearable technology!

Using a camera this “Sensory Substitution Device” can turn you into a living breathing Dare Devil by gathering in visual data and translating it into sound! Apparently with some practice blind users are even gaining the ability to read and identify complex shapes and surroundings by listening to the information contained in these “soundscapes.”
